1. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND INNOVATIONSPROTECTION OF INTERIOR SURFACES
ADHETEC is known as a supplier of adhesive films for protection during maintenance operations : carpets, walls, seats... We can also manufacture customized adhesive parts to protect specific areas/surfaces which undergo severe damage flight after flight, such as seat armrests or trolley panels. All these temporary protections are manufactured with certified non flamable materials.
2. PRODUCT ZOOMPATTERN SET FOR AIRCRAFT LIVERIES
A pattern set (or "kit poncifs" as we name it in French) is commonly used by paint shops to help position either the adhesive stencils (ADHEMASK®) or the decals (ADHECAL®) onto the aircraft. It is made of several templates, each being a sheet of transparent non adhesive polyester foil printed with the outlines of a livery detail (logo for tail fin, airline name on the fuselage, national flag of the carrier…) at scale 1:1. Depending on the surface of the livery, you may get up to 50 different templates in order to reproduce visually the whole livery of the aircraft. Once a template has been correctly placed on the aircraft, it is then easier to ensure the stencil or decal beneath it will be positioned correctly as defined on the drawings. Pattern sets are also used internally by ADHETEC to check the correct design of decals and/or paint masks (the rigidity of the foil ensures dimensional stability).
3. TECHNICAL SOLUTIONSADHEMARK® VS. ADHETRANS®
Among the techniques used to place markings on an aircraft, and in addition to the existing disposable or re-usable tools, ADHETEC offers two ready-to-use products: Whereas self-adhesive labels offer a convenient, easy to implement and cheap solution to maintenance and repair stations, dry transfer markings are a more and more adopted solution by aircraft manufacturers to give a better visual aspect. Yet, the greatest advantage offered by dry transfer markings is their application on backgrounds other than white. Usually, applying a placard on a coloured background must be done either by using a white adhesive film, which is much unaesthetic, or a transparent film, which will inevitably turn yellow after some time. Whatever the needs of our customers are, ADHETEC has the adhesive solution!
4. EVENTSPARIS AIR SHOW 2007
ADHETEC could not miss the Paris Air Show. It was once again the perfect occasion to meet our customers and suppliers, get information on the trends of the market, and of course watch the flying displays.
